The lottery for allotment of Initial Public Offering (IPO) shares of Grameenphone Ltd. will be held today from 10:30 am, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, in the city. For the convenience of investors, Grameenphone's IPO lottery result will also be available through SMS, within 4 hours of its publication. Share applicants can check the lottery result on their mobile phone connections; all operator connections are valid for this service.

GP subscribers can also register to 'Bull', a dedicated application for share-related information, to get the results. This application can be downloaded from wap.gpworld.com. After downloading the application, the subscriber should register to this service by typing 'Bull reg' and send an SMS to 4636. Grameenphone recently closed subscription of its IPO trading of shares is expected to commence in November at the Chittagong and Dhaka Stock Exchanges, subject to approval from the regulators and Stock Exchanges. Upon successful completion, the Grameenphone IPO will be by far the largest IPO ever in Bangladesh capital market.
